Indus OS- The Indian Operating system became the second most popular Mobile OS in India, overtaking Windows and IOS according to a research study conducted by Counterpoint Research. The Android which is the most popular Mobile OS have 83.80 %  of market share. The Indus company grabbed a 5.6% market share In India leaving behind Xiaomi's MIUI (4.1%), Cyanogen (2.8%), iOS (2.5%) & Windows (0.3%).

It First Launched as Firstouch and It First Started as a  mobile OS with a Gujarati Interface. Indus is the world’s First Regional Operating System Especially made for the regional language user. Indus also has partnered with Mobile Brands Micromax and Elite.

Indus also has its own Mobile application market place named 'App Bazaar'. It Have carrier billing facility and it allows users to download apps in their regional languages without an email id or paying by credit cards.

They Have over 2 Million Users and it is Now available on English and 12 Regional Languages (Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Odia, Assamese, Punjabi).

It was Developed In 2015 By three alumnis of IIT Bombay named Rakesh Deshmukh, Sudhir B and Akash Dongre .

The company have patents for keyboard allows word prediction, matra prediction, auto correction and swipe-to-translate & transliterate features to its users.
